All ICTC sulfur solvents undergo rigorous sulfur uptake testing at both the ICTC Technical Research Center and Alberta Sulfur Research prior to being commercialized for use in field applications.
The ICTC sulfur solvent product line is typically used in the following applications:
- Batch treating to remove sulfur deposition in production tubing or flowlines
- Continuous sulfur removal via injection through a downhole capillary string installation
The SS-2000 product line has the following features and advantages:
- SS-2000 is manufactured in Alberta
- SS-2000 is a catalyzed DSO (Di-Sulfide Oil) or DMDS-based sulfur solvent
- Sulfur uptake capacity of >100 wt% at 20ºC (under static conditions) and ~150% wt% at 20ºC (under dynamic conditions)
- Local dedicated technical and logistics support
- Customer – field application troubleshooting assistance
- Dedicated field delivery units
- Available corrosion inhibition technology available (<1mpy)
