In the early 1990s as the industry began the transition away from diesel as a base fluid for oil and oil/water invert drilling mud systems, Wells Cargo Oilfield Services (merged into ICTC in 2004), played a major role in the introduction and supply of diesel-alternative base oils to the Western Canadian marketplace.

After a successful merge in 2004, ICTC continues to be a leader in the supply of drilling base oils to the North American oil and gas industry.

With more than 150,000 m3 of production and supply capacity providing a wide range of compositions, qualities and price points, ICTC’s dynamic base oil product line addresses the continuously changing regulatory, health, safety and environment performance needs of the various geographical regions.
