Non-emulsifiers for Water-based Fracturing Systems

  • Both nonionic and anionic systems
  • Promotes cleanup in both oil water and gas condensate systems

Foaming Additives

  • Cationics, anionic, nonionic and amphoteric chemistries
  • Promotes improved flow back and cleanup
  • Promotes slight foam after gel break

Clay and Shale Inhibition

ICTC’s products contain blends of amine salts in water and is used in fracturing fluids, formation treatments, and workovers. It is a high-efficiency stabilizer for smectite, illite, shale, and mixed layer clay/shale minerals, which are encountered in many reservoirs.
  • Is not surface active and will not interfere with other treatment chemicals.
  • Compatible with most other typical additive or treating fluid systems, surfactants, and gelling agents.
  • Offers superior performance without the handling, mixing and disposal problems associated with potassium chloride.
  • Freeze stable.
ICTC carries a very low molecular weight clay control polymer that successfully treats microdarcy formations without loss of permeability. Being 100 times smaller than original clay stabilizers makes it more effective at preventing swelling and stabilizing fines. Cationic copolymer based products “lock” onto the clay structure to provide temporary clay control through cationic charge utilization. It is compatible with anionic and nonionic surfactants, while retaining its cationic functionality and is resistant to shear degradation.

Surface Tension Reduction

  • IC-Wet is a water-based mixture formulated with a unique blend of surfactants and organic solvents.
  • It is this unique blend of chemistries that gives IC-Wet the ability to lower interfacial tension between water and oil phases or between acid and oil phases.
  • On a molecular level IC-Wet has the ability to reduce the repulsive forces that exist between molecules of the different phases that constitute the interface.

Foaming Additives

ICTC’s product line offers the following:

  • Blends of different surfactant types that are effective in fresh or hard water, saturated brines, and in the presence of oil up to 150ºC.
  • Highly biodegradable.
  • Anionic surfactant that contains stabilizing agents, which allows the foaming agent used to provide stable foams in water and acid at temperatures up to 150ºC. Enhances well cleanup, as it does not plate out on the formation rock.
  • Cationic surfactants that functions as a non-emulsifier and foaming agent, and it also acts as well as a surface tension reducer. Possesses excellent detergent properties to clean fracture and wellbore areas.
  • Blends of nonionic surfactants and wetting agents specially formulated for enhanced flow back in low permeability formations. Lowers surface and interfacial tensions and does not affect the wetability of the formation rock.
