Corrosion Control

ICTC’s product line offers a versatile line of corrosion inhibitors for use in hydrochloric (HCl) (both low and high temperature) and hydrochloric-hydrofluoric (HCl-HF) acids up to 100°C.

ICTC offers uniquely formulated products that protect various metals and alloys against corrosive attack from organic acids, such as acetic, citric and formic acid, as well as sulfuric and phosphoric acids.

• Cationic inhibitors control corrosion up to 120ºC.
• Nonionic inhibitors control corrosion up to100ºC and reduces wetability challenges in sensitive formations.
• Stress corrosion cracking inhibitors for severe sour service application.

Iron Control

ICTC’s iron control agent prevents the inorganic precipitation of gelatinous ferric hydroxide by reducing ferric iron to ferrous iron, or by chelation of the ferric iron so as to prevent formation of the ferric hydroxide. Effective to temperatures of  177°C (350°F).

• Reduction chemistries
  Liquid, winterized, acid system compatible – 10 litres per cubic meter for 5,000 ppm iron control.
• Chelation and sequestration chemistries
  Lower cost target usage for low iron control applications.

Non-emulsifiers and Antisludge Additives

• Crude oil specific – paraffinic and asphaltic.
• Acid package compatible with excellent stability:
  
  • Downhole temperatures > 1 hour
  • Room temperature > 24 hours

Surface Tension and Interfacial Tension Reduction Additives

• Promotes acid penetration.
• Improves acid utilization.
• Improves flow back.

Scale Control

• Iron tolerant inhibition for high calcium resevoirs.

Combination Products:

• All-in-one – non-emulsifier, antisludge and corrosion control.
• All-in-one – non-emulsifier, antisludge, iron control and corrosion control.

Acid/Xylene Emulsified Systems

ICTC has the capability to supply either:

• Acid/xylene emulsified systems.
• Xylene emulsifier combination (just add acid)
• Oil-in-acid emulsifiers that can be used to build acid/xylene systems.

These packages have excellent temperature stability and can be re-emulsified if broken with minimal shear.

Mutual Solvents:

Single-component, multi-functional surfactant additives used in acid stimulation treatments up to 177°C (350°F). Soluble in oil, acid and water to penetrate deep into the formation to dissolve oil films on fines released by the acid reaction.

Antisludge

ICTC’s antisludge products are surfactant-based and prevent asphalt sludge and associated emulsions when treating with HCl acid. They will also promote rapid return of the treating fluid to the wellbore.
